Alex Mabry is the principal of The Mabry Law Firm, PLLC. He has practiced law in the State of Texas for over sixteen years, three of which as the principal of his own law firm.
Mr. Mabry received his J.D. with honors from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1994 and was awarded the Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1995. In the years prior to founding his own law firm, Mr. Mabry served as Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Labor, worked as an associate attorney with several prominent Texas law firms, and served as intern for the Honorable Emilio M. Garza of United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and for the Honorable Raul A. Gonzalez of the Supreme Court of Texas.
Mr. Mabry has a general civil law practice and considerable experience representing individuals and businesses in labor and employment law matters with a particular focus on the Fair Labor Standards Act (e.g. minimum wage and overtime issues), commercial litigation, insurance, real estate, construction law (including mechanic and materialman’s liens), and probate. He is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts as well as in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Recent cases include the ongoing representation of a class of paralegals in their law suit to collect overtime pay from The Mostyn Law Firm, P.C.; successful representation of two physicians in a million-dollar insurance coverage dispute with the carrier; recovery of a $150,000 jury verdict for a computer software salesman in a breach of contract case; and recovery of back wages owed to construction workers on a Harris County, Texas public works project.
